Q. Do I need a passport to go on a cruise?
A. In most cases, you will need a U.S. passport which still has at least 6 months before expiration. There are some itineraries that only require a certified birth certificate. We can help you determine those trips.
You should also carry another form of government pictured id (i.e. Valid Drivers license or School ID).
Q. I have a foreign passport, can I take a cruise?
A. Because of the many different nationalities we serve with cruising, we always recommend those with a foreign passport check with their local consulate.
Q. Will I need an electrical converter?
A. Most cruise lines in the U.S. have American style outlets. Because of limited outlets in the rooms, we always carry an outlet strip with us to keep our electronics charged. Be careful!!! Surge protector type strips of multi-plug outlets will be confiscated at checkin. They will be returned upon completion of the cruise.
We carry a light weight extension cord for things like CPAP machines.
Q. Do I need travel insurance?
A. With all the uncertainty in air travel, among other reasons, we advise all our clients to carry some form of travel insurance. We have excellent coverage through our credit card if we book the cruise using that card. Check your credit cards for this benefit.
For your convienence, we offer Allianz Travel insurance.
Q. What will travel insurance cover?
A. The coverage will vary by insurance carrier and we can discuss on a case by case basis. The most important item the insurance covers is tip cancellation due to outside circumstances like flight cancellations.
